About Jamila Diggs
Jamila Diggs is the Founder of Diggs Law Group, PLLC, a boutique law firm advising businesses, founders, and executives on commercial, employment, and corporate governance matters. She serves as outside and fractional general counsel to growing businesses, helping clients navigate legal challenges, manage risk, and achieve their business objectives.
Before founding Diggs Law Group, Jamila served as Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Head of Litigation at ExlService Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded global data and AI company. She worked closely with senior executives and business leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on complex legal and business issues across the organization. That experience gave her firsthand insight into how legal decisions affect business strategy, operations, and growth—perspective she now brings to every client engagement.Prior to EXL, Jamila practiced at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where she advised clients on sophisticated corporate transactions, including syndicated lending, executive compensation, employee benefits, and mergers and acquisitions. That combination of top-tier law firm experience and senior in-house leadership enables her to combine sophisticated legal analysis with a practical understanding of how businesses operate.
Jamila is known for her collaborative approach, direct communication, and commitment to understanding each client's business, priorities, and risk tolerance. She works closely with clients to develop legal strategies that protect their interests while supporting their long-term objectives.
Jamila earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her bachelor's degree from New York University. She has been recognized by Corporate Counsel Business Journal as one of its 2025 50 Women to Watch and speaks on topics including corporate governance, employment law, legal operations, ethics, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in legal practice.
